When it all started…

Menghino is the locality just below the town of Casore del Monte, a group of houses including ours, one of the oldest… between 1800 and 1914 so it is written on the house oven. It all begins with the Francesconi Agostino and Valiani Maria. 3 daughters are born in Menghino: Leopoldina, Albina and Norma. The property becomes a legacy of Maraccini Adelmo and Francesconi Norma and a new house is built next to it by Francesconi Leopoldo. Until the end of 2009, the young Francesco Canigiani bought both houses, thus giving life to the 2010 Menghino farmhouse.

From 2016 to 2021

Valentina and Carla have carried out an educational farm, the vineyard, the lavender field and putting a lot of heart both in transmitting the passion for the land to children and in welcoming those who have chosen the Meneghino for their trips, dinners under the stars , lunches with a view and relaxing holidays.

Today

Since spring 2022 Lorenzo Maltagliati has taken the reins of the Menghino, or perhaps we should say “the handlebar”: given his great experience and passion in the world of cycling.
E-bikes, good food, hospitality: these are the keywords of this new management.
Il Menghino is a place to escape the summer heat to enjoy an evening with friends between good wine and Tuscan specialties cooked to perfection.
