THE GUIDE: SIMONE BIASCI

Simone Biasci is an EX PROFESSIONAL CYCLIST born on 04-06-1970.

He began his career in the Giovanissimi in ’77 with an incredible record of 115 wins out of 150 races. Over the years from 84 to 88 he was repeatedly Champion of Tuscan Allievi and Juniors on the track and team time trial and Italian on the road. He participated in the World Championships in Bergamo and the Road World Championships in Odense in Denmark.

Between ’89 and ’92 in the Under 23 category he achieved 16 prestigious victories and wore the Italian jersey around the regions.

In ’92 he made his professional debut with the Mercatone Uno jersey, obtaining 7 victories, including a stage victory at the Vuelta in ’94.

In 1998 he started doing amateur Granfondo races, in which he achieved many successes, becoming a promoter in Italy of these mass events.

In February 2006 he concluded his career at the UCI Tour of Cuba on the International calendar with a stage victory.

Silvia Parietti is a former Italian road cyclist. Originally from Vada, she competed as a professional between 1999 and 2009, achieving the highest results in the national road title in 2005 and third place the following year.
