The service includes a private visit and the exclusive use of a tasting room inside the bike museum.Introduction to the vineyards and private visit to the cellar with explanation of the entire wine production cycle (harvesting, fermentation, aging, packaging, storage The visit ends with a tasting in a private room of 3 wines (Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Sant’Antimo DOC, Brunello di Montalcino DOCG) accompanied with bread and extra virgin olive oil of our production.
Light lunch: platter of Tuscan cured meats and Pecorino di Pienza cheeses, bruschetta with oil and tomato bruschetta, salty flatbread and focaccia with raisins, chickpea / legume salad.
Use of showers: by reservation, free service.
Simone Biasci is an EX PROFESSIONAL CYCLIST born on 04-06-1970.
He began his career in the Giovanissimi in ’77 with an incredible record of 115 wins out of 150 races. Over the years from 84 to 88 he was repeatedly Champion of Tuscan Allievi and Juniors on the track and team time trial and Italian on the road. He participated in the World Championships in Bergamo and the Road World Championships in Odense in Denmark.
Between ’89 and ’92 in the Under 23 category he achieved 16 prestigious victories and wore the Italian jersey around the regions.
In ’92 he made his professional debut with the Mercatone Uno jersey, obtaining 7 victories, including a stage victory at the Vuelta in ’94.
In 1998 he started doing amateur Granfondo races, in which he achieved many successes, becoming a promoter in Italy of these mass events.
In February 2006 he concluded his career at the UCI Tour of Cuba on the International calendar with a stage victory.
EXCURSION ON GRAVEL BIKE + LIGHT LUNCH AT THE FRANTOIO
The route is very suggestive as starting from the sea of the Etruscan Coast and pedaling in the pine forest of the Tombolo nature reserve it is possible to visit famous and historical villages of this area such as Bolgheri and Casale Marittimo and immerse yourself in one of the most important reserves of the Toscana Macchia della Magona with its panoramic points on the coast where it is possible to admire the whole coast with the islands of the Tuscan archipelago.The gourmet stop at the Frantoio will make the whole tour very pleasant.
